Well... I did it. Finally. After years of saying I didn't want my own Web site, I knuckled under to the exigencies of modern communications - and here is the result.

For me, it's a little like throwing open the side door of my house: I'm never exactly sure who's going to walk in, but I've got the welcome mat out just in case and a pitcher of martinis in the kitchen. And if nobody shows up, then I get to drink the martinis myself.

Like any Web domicile, this will be in a fairly constant state of renovation - as will I - so if you want to make remarks about the furniture or the wallpaper or the molding, feel free. Just keep your feet off the sofa.
